Converting Recruits
I've been working on making my niece and nephew fans of Doctor Whofor some time now. I got them to watch some classic series(Talons of Weng-Chiang) and started them on the new series as soon as I was able.
I've been emailing her transcripts of series 3 and recorded it off the SciFi Channel for her. I decided to send a package up to her including the made DVDs, a t-shirt using this pic:
and a poster from some magazine that I think looked like this:
I get a call from my sister this morning to tell me it had arrived yesterday and the kids went nuts. "The quote of the day" she said was from my nephew who said "I love a sonic screwdriver." Heh, just wait until he sees The Sound of Drums. My sister, who tolerates this somewhat stoically, even paraphrased Jack regarding the "Who looks at a screwdriver and thinks, hmm, nice, but could be a little more sonic?".
Just made me grin like an idiot.
