Anniversary

Not a happy one, but one that shouldn't be forgotten. It probably doesn't rank as high as what most remember Dec 7th for, but for me it's certainly up there.

It was 26 years ago that John Lennon was shot and killed. I was a sophomore in high school and went through the day in a daze.

So today I wore my "Strawberry Fields Forever" shirt (bought in Central Park) and I'm playing my John Lennon CD. Maybe later I'll watch "A Hard Day's Night".

So, a simple commemoration and that's all that's really needed

I remember them announcing Lennon's death over the PA in school and then playing "Imagine". I'd never experienced a school doing anything like that before or since.
