Last Quote (of the Year)
Dec. 26th, 2006 07:25 pmOK, last week was from "How the Grinch Stole Christmas". So, no more easy ones. TIme to put those thinking caps back on. This week's quote--well part of it--is very familiar. All I'm looking for is who said it, not where you can find it. I'll consider that extra credit. HINT: early 19th century British poet
‘Tis strange—but true; for truth is always strange; stranger than fiction
In other news, Christmas was a quiet affair. My Dad went out golfing (the course was closed so it was free) and my mom, aunt and I just kinda hung out. I got a free manicure poolside and I felt like I was in a spa, especially with the chimes. Dad came home, we called family, then lunch, and pinochle. It was while playing cards we realized we hadn't opened presents!
I got some new clothes, a set of notecards from my sister/godmother and $20 gift card for Carrabba's from my brother/godfather. But the biggie was from my Christmas pick: $50 for amazon! I've already begun planning. The smart one who knows me so well?

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and has time to rest up for the next one!
