This will be the first of 2 posts today.

My two friends and I went to our second game yesterday and the weather was gorgeous. It was a little bit more cloudy and a bit more humid but there was a nice breeze. The Mets were playing the Marlins who train down in Jupiter (just about 40 minutes down I95) and that always means a full crowd. We were in a different spot this game: upper reserve just behind home plate which you'll see in the photos. The lineup seemed to be Opening Day form with the big guns: Delgado, Beltran, Wright, Reyes along with CHurch and Murphy. The one who had a fabuloius day was Jonathan Malo, who played in AA last year and wasn't even in the Met's program. Oh yeah, and we got to see K-Rod pitch an inning.

That's K-Rod on the mound in the last pic.

Tomorrow night we'll be behind first base so I should get better shots.

Ah, I love spring training.
Tomorrow night you better watch out for wild throws from crazy Oliver Perez. Some of them might even be pitches!

Aw man. One of these years, my mom and I are going to go down to Spring Training, though not for the Mets, of course. ;) We do get season tickets for Reading, so we can see a lot of the up and comers there. Looks like it was a lovely day.

We were trying to figure out who would be pitching tomorrow. It was Dillon Gee (again) yesterday and Pelfrey is going today.

I've gone up for a couple minor league games before. Maybe I should try a few more. To make you happy, I was flipping through some baseball mags and they placed the Phils in first and Mets second. (But what do they know?)

Oh no! They can't rank us first. We never win when people think we're going to win, only when they don't believe in us! Crap! We need to go lose a few games now.

(Philadelphia is not paranoid. No, we're not.)

Minor league baseball is fun, though of course it depends on which stadium you go to. We're a little spoiled because Reading is one of the best run stadiums - the Phils steal a lot of their ideas from them.
