My camera died. It's out of warranty so it'll take at least $99 to fix. I checked online and found new comparable cameras for the same price. I know right now I really don't have the money coming in so I'll have to hold off alittle bit anyway. I've had it two years, and I don't know how long my neice had it before she passed it on to me. Is that th enormal lifespan for a digital camera?

What kind of camera was it? I have a Canon digital Elph that I got in 2004 that still works great, and my mom has the same kind of Canon also that's several years old. But my sister has gone through several digital cameras, Kodak and something else, that have only lasted her a year or two.

It's am Elph Powershot. As I said, I really don't know how old it is as it was a hand-me-down.

Did you get to see any of yesterday's game? I thought of you.

Hm, those are usually pretty good. But yeah, if it was quite old it may have just decided to die. I hope you get a new job soon so you can get a new camera!

I was able to listen to the home radio broadcast of the whole game live, but the TV broadcast wasn't working because my internet connection wasn't strong enough. I just tested it on the Yankees v. Twins game and it was working great, so I should be able to actually watch tomorrow's game.

I was trying to explain to [livejournal.com profile] culf the importance of what Roy Halladay did yesterday, pitching the no hitter, but as she doesn't understand anything about baseball, it was hard.

I was afraid the broadcasters were going to jinx it as they kept track of how many innings down and how many outs to go. I hope they didn't lose momentum with a day off.

Our local radio announcers were doing pretty good not mentioning it, but they did say it once or twice around the 4th, I think. I was yelling at them to stop.

I think the real reason it wasn't a perfect game was because I momentarily removed my hat, and that's when he walked Jay Bruce. Yes, that's exactly it. I should know better.

I think they'll be okay. We've got Roy #2 up today and as long as they keep hitting, we shouldn't have any trouble. Then Cole should be able to finish it out in Cincinatti.

(Your guys will have a lot of interesting stuff happening in the off-season. It's going to be fun to watch!)

I duno, I think I would be pretty disappointed with only two years use. I have something like 50+ photo albums on Facebook, using the same camera for at least three years and it's still trucking along, knock on wood. AND that damn thing has visited more countries than I have.
Good luck finding another one! I think a camera is a good investment-- when an event comes long where you will want to remember it, pictures are always the best way.
