jpgrI will admit I wasn't that surprised as he was always named as a favorite and the bookies loved him. On a personal note, I'm glad that it was someone whose name I recognized and had seen in things. Christopher Eccleston I remembered from Cracker (God, I cried when he was written out). David Tennant I didn't know by name but I had seen in a few things when I checked. Matt Smith I didn't know by name but when someone said he had been in Ruby in the Smoke then I remembered. The same could be said for Paul McGann who I had seen in The Monocled Mutineer. I guess with a larger variety of BBC shows getting airplay here in the States, the odds were increased that I would know the new Doctor from something.
Just a little over 4 months till we see the regen.
