Phryne Fisher
May. 27th, 2012 07:27 pmI found the Australian series (Miss Fisher's Mysteries) streaming online and I love it!! I've watched all but the last as I type this, I've gone and gotten the first book from the library.
Basically Phryne is one of the Bright Young Things of the 20s. She was raised in a poor family in Melbourne but her father comes into a title and she's sent away to finishing school in Europe. She returns to help a family friend and solves a mystery. She likes the idea so much she stays and becomes a detective.
The novels are by Kerry Greenwood.
