Not much going on down here so I'll just throw out a few things as I think of them. First off: The Yankees are out!!!!! OK, feel better now. Hm, Doctor Who just ended on SciFi so I have only one more ep to transcribe before passing it along as part of a gift box to a certain family in New Jersey. :) Wow, that was an unexpected turn of events on Prison Break Monday night. My electrologist has changed me from an appointement every 4 weeks to every 5 now. I'm picking away at an original fic now during my lunch break at work. I think once the transcribing is done, I'll have more time for it.

Now what you're all waiting for.

The quote is from Yogi Berra.
1. Kansas City/Hey Hey Hey -- The Beatles
2. Don't be Cruel -- Elvis
3. Waterfront -- Simple Minds
4. I Just Don't Know How I Got By -- Russell Watson
5. "40" -- U2

October is the opal month of the year. It is the month of glory, of ripeness. It is the picture-month

1. ...Said you had a thing or two to tell me. How was I to know you would upset me?
2. Well, Im running down the road Tryin to loosen my load
3. You never asked me what I wanted. You only asked me why.
4. I've been stood up and messed around And taken for a fool But next time around I'm gonna change the rules
5. ...There goes my baby There goes my heart Theyre gone forever So far apart

I don't know who quoted your quote, but I heartily agree!

I do know that
2. is Take it Easy, whether by Jackson or the Eagles
3. is Miracle Man by Elvis Costello
5. is Only the Lonely by Roy Orbison

Well, I didn't think many would get the quote. I just thought it pretty and spot-on. As for the songs...The fitst is that group again and 4 is by a red-haird Brit and I think it came out around 1987. I can't say outright should others try to answer.
