I believe I will be updating this particular post as the day goes along. If you are not baseball-inclined, I apologize. As it stands bottom 6th, the Mets are tied with the Marlins at 2 thanks to a homerun by Carlos Beltran. Also, the Cubs are over the Brewers 1-0 in the 7th. If the Mets win and the Brewers lose, the Mets are in the post-season. If the Brewers win and the Mets lose, the Mets season is over and there's no more baseball in Shea. However, if both teams have the same outcome, there will be a playoff game tomorrow night to see who goes to the post-season.
ETA 4:07 The Brewers have tied it at 1 after 7
4:24 4-2 Marlins mid 8th/Brewers 3-1 bottom 8th
4:35 Brewers win/Mets-Marlins same score going into the 9th
5:04 No more baseball at Shea :(

Date: 2008-09-28 11:39 pm (UTC)Seeing all the old players in the ceremony after the game made me feel better. Even if it made me wish we still had the '86 team.
On to hockey, and the heartbreak it brings.
