Request for Tech Help

There was a vid on another site that I heard much talk about and wanted to see but it wasn't appearing on the page for me. Someone recommended updating Adobe Flash which I did and could see the video in question. Now, however, I can't see any embedded vids on LJ. I see the box where they should be, but not the video. Any techies willing to tell me how to undo what I did?

I'm not a techie and I can't promise this will work, but it did for me when I was mucking around. I had to reduce my Hardware Acceleration, which had shot up to the highest level and meant I couldn't watch videos on WMP.

(Assuming you're using Windows)

Settings -> Control Panel -> Display -> Settings -> Advanced -> Troubleshoot -> set it somewhere in the middle.

Unfortunately I get the message that my display driver does not allow changes. Maybe if I undo the upgrade...

I removed the "offending" program but I don't see a difference yet. I'll probably have to restart. Thanks for the advice though.
