I just got called in for an interview on an application I just put in this morning. Thing is, it's only part-time and I need full-time for the insurance. My COBRA payment would be around $400 a month. Add to that my $200 car payment and I don't think part time will cover it. The manager is aware I'm looking for FT but he said to come in and talk anyway.

I'd feel kinda bad turning down an offer like this but I don't want to settle either. I'll wait and see how things go tomorrow morning.

That's great you got an interview so quickly even if it is just for part-time. Who knows, maybe they would be able to make it a full-time position for you.

I wouldn't feel bad if you need to turn it down. Sounds like you've made it clear that you're looking for full-time so the manager would understand. And this early in a job search, they say it's okay to turn down an offer if it's not really what you're looking for.

Good luck!

(And it looks like we'll be facing San Francisco. I don't really care who comes out of the American League, though my mom is really hoping it'll be the Yankees if we make to the World Series again. She wants to atone not only for last year but also 1950.)

Thanks for that little boost. I've always been a nervous wreck leading up to stuff like this. I haven't been on a job interview since 1992! I'll let you know what happens.
