Sorry for the delayed posting, but my schedule has been thrown off. For reasons I won't go into, I have been working the opening shift at work which means getting up at 5:30am. Just look at the icon for my thoughts on that. I have the same schedule next week too. From what I've heard, it won't be permanent but it is until further notice.

I've traveled back to my high school tv days. I've been watching Remington Steele and Tales of the Gold Monkey episodes. They are just so much fun. I haven't been doing much stitching, but I will try and make myself do a little bit every night. The writing's coming along ok too.

Oh, and I'm looking into getting a laptop so if anyone has any info they'd like to share about brands, makes, shops, etc., please let me know.

I've had two Dell laptops and I've loved both of them, though I've known some people that absolutely hate them. Dell has great online deals, though, and when you get a computer from them, often they'll throw something in for free. For instance, with my current laptop, I got a $150 messenger bag for free.

The service is alright, if you have a technical problem. You just have to be patient but firm with them and they'll eventually get you what you need.

What I absolutely wouldn't do is buy a computer out of the box from the store (ie Best Buy.) They don't come with any tech support or services whatsoever, and usually cost and arm and a leg to purchase. (If I remember correctly, if you buy direct from Dell, it comes with a free year of tech support/service.) Plus, you don't get as good deals and no free stuff. And, they're a bitch to return if you decide you don't like it, and there are usually restocking fees.

If you have questions, I'd go to a store and just ask knowledgeable employees your questions, but I wouldn't let them talk you into buying anything there. Cost wise, it's definitely not worth it.

I loved both those shows....sigh. I'm so nostalgic for the days I actually use to like tv.

I got a refurbished MacBook at the suggestion of someone on my flist. It was a great deal and I've never had the slightest problem with it. I really like the Mac.
